In addition to the repair table, we'll have snacks, drinks, and non-profit Second Chances. Stop by their table to talk clothing donations. They are an organization that reuses and recycles clothing, shoes, and accessories so that homeless and lower-income people feel confident and valued as they take their first steps toward brighter futures.
Second Chances reuses and recycles more than 300,000 pounds of clothing every year to distribute free and empowering clothing, shoes, and accessories to 600+ homeless and lower-income women, men, and children. Since 2005, Second Chances has engaged our community in supporting more than 6,200 people in need with clothing, distributing more than 12,000 pairs of new socks and underwear, and reusing and recycling more than 2,850,000 pounds of clothing and textiles.
